Eastern Palace Suite - Funky Window Flowers

Welcome back crafty people 😊

I was having a little play with my Eastern Palace Suite this morning before I went away.

Just mucking around stamping circular patterns on some Vanilla cards stock that I had cut out a flower  nested pattern on.

I had seen it done numerous times and wanted to seewhat I could do with it.

I liked what I was seeing so I kept going. 

I ended up making 3 seperate cards, each one slightly different from the first. 

They windows I have created reminded me of bright and funky flowers.

For these cards I used Dapper Denim and Lemon Lime Twist, one has a touch of Berry Burst

The cards above and below are window cards. 

I used the flower shaped die to nested with 2 other circular dies that fit inside to create a window in the Very Vanilla layer. 

I added a Lemon Lime DSP collar to add the lime layer behind.

The Lemon Lime DSP has been die cut using the flower shaped die and then a layering circle die on the inner piece. I then snipped it from the DSP with my paper snips. I cut one side and wrapped it around the outside under the petals of the vanilla inlay.

I added a dapper denim circle cut using the same die as the vanilla layer but I also used a layering circle to keep the window open.

I used more Lemon Lime Twist on this card and also used the star shaped inner die, this created a slightly different window.

Berry Burst Hello

And lastly for this card I started the same as the other two, but I added a left over scrap circle behind the window making it a pattern with the Lemon Lime as a contrasting colour, not a window.

The addition of the Berry Burst for this card just makes it a little brighter and gives it a little lift, don't you agree?
I lifted the front of this card with dimensionals also.

Mediterranean Moments Meets Eastern Palace - #GDP085

Welcome back to my blog crafty ones 😊

Today's blog is all about the retiring incolours as they are the challenge for #GDP085 
The Global Design Team have decided to say a last goodbye to these gorgeous colours.

The In-Colours are only around for 2 years, I am going to miss these ones so much!! I have a couple of BIG  favourites in this In-colour set....

They are Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder.

For this card above I have used ribbon from the retired Carousels and Cupcakes embellishments kit.. The little flower buds were made using the Cool Treats Sprinkles Embellishments..

All water colouring and stamping has been done on Shimmer White card stock.

For the stamped image accents I used Pearl Basic Jewels, this helped tie in the flower buds a little more.

The repeat stamping for the background images are from the Easter Beauty Stamp set...

Ok a few more card deets.

The base colours for the cards are Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder.

I have stamped the repeat images in Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron for the above card, and Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron for the one above this.

For the focals I have used all 5 of the retiring in-colours and added a small sentiment along the edges from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.
