Hello everyone, Its been a while since my last post.

Due to the COVID outbreak mine and everyones lives changed immensley!

I became a home school teacher to my two children along with loads of other parents. Unfortunately blogging about my projects and SU had to take a back seat.

But, with things slowly improving in my home state of Tasmania. I am finding myself having a little extra time to share once again.

 So, I just had to drop by and share the new catalogue that is available now.

I created this project for my husband Dean. It's Fathers Day next weekend and the kids and I always try to make his day a memorable one. My hubby adores being outdoors, collecting junk (he says it isn't junk!) and buys and sells scrap metal. Along with a lot of other interests, so hopefully this card helps achieve that goal of making his day one to remember.

Stampin Sunday Blog Hop - True Gentlman

Hello and welcome 😊

I am here today with the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Sara Levin.

Our theme today is The True Gentleman suite from the Occasions catalogue. This classy collection can be found on pages 44 and 45 of the catalogue.

Celebrate In Style

I have kept the colour scheme quite simple for this design as I wanted to use Gold Embossing as highlights.
With a combination of repeat stamping (background) and e small square of the True Gentleman DSP I managed to create a good base to work with.
The card stock with the repeat stamping was wiped around the edge with versamark ink and then lightly dusted with gold embossing powder and heated to melt. I repeated this process until I was happy with the effect. I then wiped Night of Navy ink over the  gold embossing to add an aged effect.

I have created a matching treat box using a matching square of the True Gentleman DSP.

This gorgeous little box is perfect for the DAD that has everything but you still like to give him little treats. The size I created fits a Ferraro chocoalte nicely. You can make this box large (as your square DSP allows) or as small as you like.

Here is a template that is readily available online for you to convert to any size square you desire.

You Will Always Be Number 1 - #GDP074

Welcome back crafter's :)

 For my projects today I went with a more masculine feel...I was actually planning to enter them into the International Blog Highlights but that theme is "Get Well Soon"

As you can see, the card projects don't quite fit the theme!

Card 1

Both of these cards was created using items from the Urban Underground Suite.  

You may see slight differences with each card as I alternated the colours for the tag and banner for each card + I used different threads behind the sentiments.  The one above has Very Vanilla bakers twine while the one below has Black Metallic thread. 

Just for another little change I used differing embellishments for each focal area too.

My card base for both cards is Basic Black. The front layers being the Very Vanilla circles DSP . 

The card directly above has the addition of silver foil as an extra layer which has then been adhered to the base using dimensionals  

For the focal area I used the Tags and Labels Framelits die and layered my ephemera over the top.

You Are My Anchor

You Are My Anchor

I drew inspiration from a couple of different places for my cards today. One place was from a card I saw earlier Friday evening on Kylie Bertucci's Blog Highlights, Carolina Evans created a card that incorporated layered torn papers. 

• The other places was I drew my inspirations from were the team over @ Pals Paper Arts with a  gorgeous color scheme from Shawn de Oliveira 
• Then from the team @ Global Design Project with an awesome sketch by Teneale Williams

I used the sketch from #GDP038 to incorporate the torn paper & the colour scheme from #PPA303

to create a male orientated card with a sea faring theme. 

I can take them with me to use as displays when I go to workshops or parties & they will be perfect to use them for Fathers Day later in the year!

 I used Night of navy as the card base and and cut one A4 sheet into 2 @ 10.5cm x 15cm. I used some scrap Night of Navy under the Sahara Sand card stock.I found some Perfectly Artistic  papers that I had left and wiped, with my dauber & Mint Macaron ink over the top... I daubed some whisper white in other places to tone down some areas. I stamped with Night of Navy onto the ink brushed & daubed DSP with the Anchor from the 'Guys Greetings' set 2 of 2. And made some panels for the inside of each card.

After applying some adhesive to the outside edges, I tore both of the inside edges with the Sahara Sand First & then followed with the Night of Navy trying to follow a similar tear pattern as the Sahara Sand. These panels were then added to the front using Stampin' Dimensional's.

    I found some scrap Sahara Sand and stamped with Night of Navy the 'Ships Wheel' and the 'Lantern'  with the 'From Land To Sea' stamp set. I added these to the front of each card to make each slightly different.

To finish these cards I added a long thread pulled from the Burlap ribbon and wrapped and tied it to either side of the front panels.

The sentiment has been stamped in Night of Navy onto a scrap of thew DSP and held in place with dimensional's. The centre dimensional's, under the sentiment, has been doubled up to give height and the effect of movement.
