Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - All My Love

#KOCreationsCards #AllMyLoveSuite #StampinUp30 #Valentines #Anniversary #Romance #CardMaking #SteppedUpCardMaking #Beginnercardmaker #Casualcardmaker #Avidcardmaker #Roses #Craft

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog.

Today I am hopping as part of the Stamping Sunday crew.
We have chosen to showcase the 'All My Love' suite, which is available from pages 5-6 of the new Occasions catalogue..
This suite has such a romantic feel to it that lends itself nicely to Valentines, Anniversary and even Birthdays.
Catalogues below in PDF format. Click on the pictures to open them up

Don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator yet? Want a copy of these catalogues?
Contact me today for your copy to be posted out to you.

I have chosen to use items from page 5 of the catalogue for my projects today.
The bundle I am using has a two step stamp that enables you to have your flowers all stamped at the same time! While step two enables you to add in the leaves. It even adds the shading for you, how cool is that!

I have an image below showing the first steps of my cards.

#KOCreationsCards #AllMyLoveSuite #StampinUp30 #Valentines #Anniversary #Romance #CardMaking #SteppedUpCardMaking #Beginnercardmaker #Casualcardmaker #Avidcardmaker #Roses #Craft
Left                                             Middle                                         Right
This is step one of the two step        Step 2 adds in the leaves.            Here I have added my own                          stamp.                                                                                    step. This is called daubing.                                                                                                                      Lightly and gently spreading                                                                                                                        a touch of colour around                                                                                                                         the white spaces surrounding                                                                                                                 the rose bouquet.

Beginner Crafter Card

My first card today showcases the two step stamp  as a stand alone image, along with a sentiment. This simple design is perfect for the beginner crafter.

MY LOVE

Intermediate (Casual) Crafter Card

Here I have stepped up the design slightly by adding some colour to the background, a die cut layer as well as some embellishments (Bling)

LOVE YOU

Avid Crafter Card

For my last card I have stepped up another notch by adding a slightly different layer. This includes die cutting as well as the technique 'Fussy Cuttting' for that extra skill level.

HAPPY VALENTINES

Colour INKspiration Crew CI36 ~ Healing Hugs

Hello and welcome to this fortnights Colour INKspiration challenge #CI36  😊

You are with Kim Oliver - KOCreations Cards.

Our guest designer this quarter is Anne Matasci of The Maui Stamper, Congrats Anne on winning #CI34 love your designs.
There is a NEXT button a little further down to take you to Annes blog and keep you moving through this wonderful and inspiring hop.

Here is this quarters Challenge Palette.

These are just gorgeous wintery colours, aren't they? It's Winter here where I live (Tasmania) and is very cold atm. Still, it hasn't snowed here yet...I am still waiting for that this year lol

Being that Winter is the time for colds and flues I decided on a 'Get Well Soon' style card.

Healing Hugs

#KOCreationsCards #HealingHugs #BotanicalTagsThinlitsDies #Wintertimeblues #Getwellsoon #Roses #Inspiredbynature #StampinUp30

I mixed the 'Healing Hugs' stamp set with the stunning 'Botanical Tags Thinlits Dies' and the 'Stitched Labels Framelits Dies'.
Mixing sets is something I enjoy doing quite alot and Stampin' Up!® products are perfect for that as they all blend together seamlessly

I struggled a bit with my card for this quarter as I wasn't overly happy with how it was looking. I had to walk away and take a break from it then have another look at it the next day.
I really fell in love with it then, the little garden arch behind the rose made me think of a chilly winters day, sitting near a window all rugged up with a fire crackling and a steaming cup of cocoa

Closed View

#KOCreationsCards #HealingHugs #BotanicalTagsThinlitsDies #Wintertimeblues #Getwellsoon #Roses #Inspiredbynature #StampinUp30
The rose has been stamped in 'Crushed Curry' and the leaves in 'Soft Suede'. The background DSP is a piece from 'Nature's Poem'  (Nature's Poem Suite) and is also 'Soft Suede'. The cross stitching behind the rose is from the 'Healing Hugs' stamp set has been heat embossed in silver. I carried the stitching through with a little faux straight stitching from the 'Stitched Labels Framelit Dies'. The sentiment has also been heat embossed but in white on 'Basic Gray' card stock. The 'Basic Gray' garden arch behind the rose is carried through with a layer behind the card front and a strip between the DSP and 'Very Vanilla' layers. I have added 'Silver Metallic Thread' under the rose along with 'Rhinestones' to add a touch of bling.

Up next we have Anne Matasci sharing her beautiful inspiration for this fabulous colour scheme.

Stamping Dreams Blog Hop - Birthday Theme

Hello everyone and welcome 😊
I am enjoying some hopping fun today with the Stampin' Dreams crew. You are currently here with Kim Oliver (KOCreations Cards) I have a full list of hop participants towards the end of this post.
Today the Stampin' Dreams crew are all celebrating Birthdays.

I have chosen to create with a mix of stamp sets today.
It's one of the things I love about Stampin' Up!® all of our products meld so well together.

Here is my Birthday project.

Happy Birthday

#KOCreationsCards #BirthdayCards #StampinUp30 #Handmadecards #HealingHugs #BotanicalBliss #RubberStamping #InspiredByNature #Roses

I chose to keep this card simple with loads of clean space.
My colour scheme is also simple ~ Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla and Tuxedo Black.
Both of these choices made this card an extremely striking one.
A statement card if you will.
I veered away from my usual Whisper White card base for toadys project and have chosen Very Vanilla instead. I did this becausse I thought it gave the card a warmer feeling.

#KOCreationsCards #BirthdayCards #StampinUp30 #Handmadecards #HealingHugs #BotanicalBliss #RubberStamping #InspiredByNature #Roses

The stamps sets I chose to use are 'Healing Hugs' and 'Botanical Blooms'. Both of which are available from the new 2018/2019 Annual Catalogue.

I simply adore the photographic quality of the rose and leaves from 'Healing Hugs' stamp set. I stamped the rose 3 times in Crushed Curry using the Stamparatus as I wanted the colour to be bold.
The sentiment and floral flourish from Botanical Bliss really softens the whole card perfectly.

Thank you for joining me today and I do hope you have enjoyed my simple project.

Here is my project I created using these stunning colours..

Some Things Are Just Meant To Be ~

#KOCreationsCards #CI32 #ColourInkspiration #Petalpalette #Roses #Flowers #cardmaking #natureinspired #papercraft #StampinUp30

This project has a BRAND NEW ITEM (yay) called Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper (remember that name hehehe)
It has 2 designs, 4 of each design, that are full 12 x 12 " sheets. They are gorgeous flowers and patterns, all delicately cut out. One design is a stunning floral 12 x 12" (it can be cut if you are brave enough) the other design is made to be cut into card fronts like my card above. The card front cuttable has 4 different designs on it as well as some lovely little edge/banner patterns too. I have shown only 1 card front design with my card project above.

Items Used

  • Petal Palette Bundle (Only available as a bundle until 31st May)
  • Thick Whisper White card stock
  • Night Of Navy card stock
  • Gold Foil Sheet (10cm x 10cm)
  • Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper (soon to be released)
  • Pink Pirouette Ink Pad (retiring)
  • Night Of Navy Ink Pad

Basic Instructions

  • Place a piece of A4 thick Whisper White into the Stampin' Trimmer portrait style, Score at 10.5 cm = 4 1/8". Turn to landscape orientation and cut at 14.9 cm = 5 13/16" Fold on score line and burnish. This will give you 2 card bases with a top fold landscape orientation and another for stamping etc. Cut the other piece on the score line and use 1 to stamp your images on. You can keep the other piece for a spare card front.
  • Cut a piece of Night Of Navy at 13.5cm = 5 5/16"x 9.5cm = 3 11/16".
  • Emboss the Night of Navy with the floral embossing folder from the Petal Pair two set embossing folder. This adds texture and interest to the central area.
  • Cut the oval card front from the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper. Adhere into position over the embossed Night Of Navy.
  • Stamp the rose image in Pink Pirouette.
  • Colour the flower  and  leaves with Aqua Painters. The rose in Pink Pirouette and the leaves in Night Of Navy.  (I outlined the leaves with the night of Navy and aqua painter whilst colouring.)
  • Stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy. Die cut both STAMPED images*.
  • Die cut another label from a scrap piece of Night of Navy and layer the stamped sentiment over the top.
  • Die cut the gold foil leaves and cut the leaves in half.
  • Place under coloured flower image using glue dots.
  • Adhere floral image using dimensionals into the bottom right corner.
  • Adhere sentiment with a mix of dimensionals and a touch of glue.
*TIP FOR SENTIMENT
When die cutting the sentiment place one edge of the die closer to the start of the words.
To shorten the sentiment label place the other side of the sentiment under the die to match the first edge distance and run through the big shot again. Trim the edge (top and bottom just a little) this will give you enough space to show the Night of Navy label underneath.

I have added  Clear Wink of Stella to the roses just to give a little more shine.

Colour Inskpiration for Petal Palette #CI29

 Hello 😊
Welcome to today's post.

I am sharing with you a gorgeous old world colour palette from Colour Inkspiration
Colour Inkspiration is a facebook group dedicated to inspiring us to create and share with the fortnightly gorgeous colour palettes chosen by the Design Team.
If you love creating with colour then this page is for you.
Click HERE to request to join.

Here is this fortnights colour Palette.
Do you see why I am thinking old world charm?
I find inspiration in all sorts of places, these colours reminded me of some very old paper that I used to have many years ago. I had a little go at recreating the old world feel of that paper in my project.

Here is my creation using this gorgeous colour palette

Congratulations

#kocreationscards #wedding #engagement #cardmaking #petalpalette #colourinkspiration #roses #oldworldcharm #CI29 #stampinup

For my project I used a combination of Stampin' Up! ink pads and Stampin' Write Markers along with Aqua Painters.

Items Used

  • Card Stock : A4 Crumb Cake, A4 Thick Very Vanilla and 14.5cm x 10cm Chocolate Chip and scrap piece for sentiment.
  • Bundles: Petal Palette Clear-Mount 145974
  • Ink Pads: Blushing Bride, Garden Green and Chocolate Chip
  • Pearl Basic Jewels
  • Stampin' Blends: Dark Crumb Cake and Bronze.
  • Aqua Painter.
  • Adhesives: Foam Adhesive Strips, Multi Purpose Liquid Glue (tombow)

Basic Instructions

  1. Place A4 Crumb Cake on Stampin' Trimmer in a landscape orientation and score at 14.9cm. Turn and cut at 10.5cm . Fold both pieces on score line and burnish. You will now have two card bases 14.9cm x 10.5cm. Keep one aside for front focal die cut.
  2. Cut 1 piece of Chocolate Chip card stock at 14.5 x 10 cm. Cut two more pieces, 1 at 2.3cm x 14.2cm and another at 5.1cm x 14.2cm
  3. Cut 1 piece of Very Vanilla card stock at 14.1 cm x 9.6 cm. Cut two more pieces, 1 at 2.1cm x 14.2 cm and another at 4.9cm x 14.2cm. Have another 10cm x 10cm piece on hand ready for stamping the extra rose image.
  4. Layer the two strips of Very Vanilla onto the Chocolate Chip leaving the edge showing along one full length.
  5. Colour rose image stamps with Blushing Bride ink pad and then colour the leaves with the Stampin' Write marker Garden Green. Huff on stamp and then stamp images left of the centre line on Very Vanilla layer. Repeat this step for the extra rose image on the spare 10cm x 10ccm Very Vanilla. Die cut with thinlits and bigshot.
  6. Colour images with matching inks and Aqua Painters. Note I also coloured the background area with a light cover of Chocolate Chip.
  7. Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla layer to the Chocolate Chip layer. Adhere the two strips of layered Choc Chip and Very Vanilla to the front of the stamped image with foam strips.
  8. Die cut the lattice from the put aside piece of Crumb Cake.
  9. Stamp the sentiment in Versamark onto scrap piece of Choc Chip, dust with White embossing powder. Heat to melt. Die cut with label thinlit in bundle.
  10. Layer rose with lattice and sentiment over stamped images.
  11. Colour pearls with Stampin' Blends Dark Crumb Cake and Bronze and adhere into desired position.

I am sooo in love with how this card looks finished. Having the paper effect behind the raised panels and then using the same floral image as a focal bought it all alive.
