One Wild Ride - Motorcycle Card - #GDP091

Welcome back everyone...
Sometimes when an idea strikes I just have to create it.
Today was one of those days!
I had this idea to create a slider card using paper clips to have room to place a sentiment and have the slider move over the top of the sentiment...
The designs still needs perfecting, but I thought I would share with you what I made today.
It fits perfectly with this weeks challenge at Global Design Project as their theme this week is wheels!

And here is my card.

One Wild Ride

It is rather a simple thing to create really.
Having the paper clip undone and bent into a horse shoe shape enables the bike image to slide over the first sentiment to reveal the tyre track underneath and the new sentiment as it slides out.
The bike itself hs been stamped in memento black. Heat dried and dusted with embossing buddy. I used the versamark refill and placed a drop onto a clear block. Using a fine tip paint brush I painted versamark onto where the chrome would be on the bike. Pour on silver embossing powder, tapping off excess, then heat til shiny and puffed.

My card base is basic black card stock. The front is a piece of Thick Whisper white cut to leave roughly a 4 mm edge. I have layered this with a piece of silver foil sheet. This sheet has been trimmed to leave only a 2mm black edge showing.
I topped my card with some basic rhinestone jewels to give a little touch of bling.
