#KOCreationscards #Shabbychic #Crushedflowers #Handmadeflowers #Cardmaking #Papercraft #Floralphrases

Hello 😊

Today I am using the Floral Phrases stamp set along with the matching Detailed Floral Thinlits to create this gorgeous Shabby Chic card.

I have entered this card into #GDP110 as it fits with the sketch challenge you can see pictured below

Shabby and Thoughtful

#KOCreationscards #Shabbychic #Crushedflowers #Handmadeflowers #Cardmaking #Papercraft #Floralphrases

My idea for this card came from watching a video of

Bibiana Cameron's

The colours I used are Whisper White, Blushing bride and Basic Grey.
By crushing opposite corners I made my card a bit grungier and gave the effect of Shabby Chic while still managing remain clean and tidy.

A Summer Time Butterfly Posy - #CI19

Image may contain: text

Welcome back everyone 😊
I am so happy you have decided to stop by my blog for a visit today.
I have been trying to use up some scraps that I have created over the last few weeks

So I decided I would create for Colour Inkspiration today.

I have been super busy these last few weeks with school holidays and then creating flat out once they went back to school.
Sometimes getting work done with the bairns at home isn't all that successful hahaha.
So I am just fitting this card in by the skin of my teeth 😅 .
I am creating a video for a International blog hop tomorrow and now must also go and prepare my pieces for that.

The colours for this challenge are as follows.
Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate and Garden Green.

These colours just scream Spring and Summer to me 😊
And summer means Butterflies and flowers where I live
(I live in a very temperate climate)

Butterfly Posy

#KOCreationscards #Watercolorwings #Butterflybasics #Inpiredbynature #Easternmedallions #Cardmaking #Stampinup #CI19
I pulled out some all time favourites stamp sets for this card, Watercolour Wings and Butterfly Basics!
My card base is Thick Whisper White with a layer of Basic Gray under the card front.
The back ground of my card came from some stamping off I was doing for another card.
The medallion was from my play with the Eastern Palace when I first purchased it.
I punched the flowers from some scrap Daffodil Delight using the blossom builder punch.
The little fine pieces of white are the trimmings from my card lol.
I love how delicate they look, don't you?.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest Jenny Hall

Image may contain: text

Welcome Back everyone 😊
Today I am hopping with the Crazy Crafters Team and special guest Jenny Hall

We The Crazy Crafters have each chosen a project of Jenny's to CASE (Copy And Selective Edit)
You are currently here me me (Kim Oliver) and I have a full list of all participants closer to the end of my blog.

Here is the project I have chosen of Jenny's to CASE.

vintage style

Jenny created her card using the Cracked Glass technique using layers of heated embossing powder.
This was something I haven't tried before, I thought...
Why Not!

Here is my card.
I used the same layout for this technique as it has an old world feel with it that this technique deserves.

Dragonfly Daze

#KOCreationscards #Crackedglasstechnique #Dragonflydreams #Butterflybasics #Inspiredbynature #Cardmaking #Stampinup

I am over the moon with my first attempt!

Before my next attempt I MUST order some more embossing powder though 😲 lol. I just need to do this some more! It's so much fun hahaha.

I followed Jenny's instructions and layered the embossing powder 11 times, but my crack wasn't sharp. I ended up with more of a crazed effect.
Which I quite like BTW 😍

HERE is Jenny's video showing how she made her card.

Angled View

#KOCreationscards #Crackedglasstechnique #Dragonflydreams #Butterflybasics #Inspiredbynature #Cardmaking #Stampinup

To create the scene I used two stamp sets. Dragonfly Dreams and Butterfly Basics.
I used the Shimmery white card stock to stamp my scene onto.
I masked over the dragonfly after the original stamping. I then stamped the fern leaf over the top. Being masked this gives the effect of having the fern fronds behind the dragonfly.
I coloured the dragonfly using the NEW STAMPIN BLENDS!!!

Ink It! Stamp It! Design Team Blog Hop - Technique

Welcome back everyone 😊
I am hopping today as part of the fabulous Ink It Stamp It! Design Team.
This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our favourite techniques.
My favourite technique is Smooshing.

#KOCreationscards #Stampinblends #Smooshing #Christmsacards #Cardmaking #Seasonofjoy

The full line up below will guide through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite technique is ?

#KOCreationscards #Stampinblends #Smooshing #Christmsacards #Cardmaking #Seasonofjoy

I used this technique with the new Stampin' Blends.
Stampin Up!'s soon to be released Alcohol Blending pens that us Demo's got to pre-order recently.
Part of the perks of being a Demo 😍

We get some time to learn how to use new products such as these, before they become available to you, our customers.
These markers will be avialble from the 1st of November!

You are ALL going to LOVE them!

They are super easy to use and each available colour has a light and a dark shade plus there are 2 skin tones and a colour lifter!
Here is a better picture of my smooshing and the resulting card of my play with these new pens.

Season Of Joy

#KOCreationscards #Stampinblends #Smooshing #Christmsacards #Cardmaking #Seasonofjoy

To achieve this effect for my smooshed background I used my Stampin' Blends on a clear Stamp Block.
  1. Just scribble the alcohol pens onto the clear block in the colours of your choice.
  2. Then pour on a small amount of alcohol blending solution over the scribbled colours, this re wets the inked area.
  3. Then turn upside down onto the glossy white card stock.
  4. Smoosh around until the colours blend and you get a look you like.
  5.  Dab off excess with a baby wipe.
Repeat steps 1 through 5 for darker colours.

The Stamp and Thinlits set I used are from the Christmas Pines set.
The little flower is part of the Blossom Builder punch.
The little swirls of paper are the trimmings from my card base edges. I really like the way these little scrappy pieces look on the card.
What do you think?

I finished this all of with some Gold Enamel shapes and a sentiment in the bottom right corner.

A super simple yet so very effective Christmas Card!

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see our Christmas  projects. I'm Kim Oliver and to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next.

Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - Black & White + 1

Welcome back everyone 😊
Today I am part of the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.
This month's theme is 'Black and White plus 1'.

#KOCreationscards #Stampinblends #Alcoholmarkers #Cardmaking #Rubberstamping #Blackandwhiteplusone #Gracefulgarden

You are currently visiting Kim Oliver from Australia.
I hope you enjoy my project.

I chose to use a BRAND NEW product that is yet to be released to the public!
I really and truly can't wait for these to be released to everyone!!!

Stampin' Up! has created a range of Alcohol markers called *Stampin' Blends!!

We demonstrators got to pre-order these pens, so we can learn how to use them for the time when they are available to you, our customers.

THEY WILL BECOME AVAILABLE TO YOU FROM THE 1ST OF NOVEMBER!!
OMG!!
I am so excited about this news!

I know you are going to go WILD for them!
They are the just the BOMB!! 😍

Here is my card created using these fantastic and AMAYYZZIIING new Alcohol Blends.

For You

#KOCreationscards #Stampinblends #Alcoholmarkers #Cardmaking #Rubberstamping #Blackandwhiteplusone #Gracefulgarden

Aren't the colours just so vibrant!!!

I used one pen only for this effect, plus the colour lifter to create the highlighted areas!
Each available colour comes in two shades,Cherry Cobbler for instance, has a light and a dark shade. I used the Light shade of Cherry Cobbler only and then went over areas I wanted a bit darker. I used the Lifter pen to take colour away to create my highlights. Its that simple!
The lifter also lifts away colour if you accidentally go outside the lines too
HOW AWESOME IS THAT!

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop DT - Mini Pizza Boxes

Welcome back everyone 😊
Today I am sharing with you all a project I designed using the Mini Pizza Boxes.

These gorgeous little mini Memory Keeping Boxes can be used as a decor item as well as a cute way to preserve those cherished memories and special occasions.
They can even be personalised with a photo in the front frame or used as is with their sweet quotes left visible.

They can be given as a gift for weddings or new baby arrivals, even engagements, or just given to someone you feel would love a little box of uplifting quotes. Or create one and keep it for your own purposes, just because you can 😉.

I designed these little boxes as I tend to keep little pieces of my life that make me smile and feel happy, a flower or leaf from here, a picture from there or even a lock of hair from my children.
These boxes are perfect for that purpose.

Memory Keeping Boxes

  4. 1 and a 1/2 sheets A4 whisper white (not thick!)
  5. 2 A4 pieces of Co-ordinating coloured card stock. (I used Old Olive)
  6. Ink pads (I used Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry)
  7. 3 lengths of co-ordinating ribbon
  8. Window Sheet
  9. Stampin' Trimmer
  10. Envelope Punch Board
  11. Layering Square framelits
  12. Bigshot
  13. Bone folder
  14. Stampin' Sponge
  15. Adhesives - Fast Fuse, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, Dimensionals, Glue Dots and Foam Adhesive Strips

Cutting Guides

For full instructions please watch video below.

Pizza Box

  • Score all folds of Pizza box before putting it together. This makes sure that the box goes together nicely  and stays together.

Memories and More pack

For quotes and pictures on accordion pull out
  • Choose  16 - 18 of the smaller Memories and More cards and trim to 7.4cm in length so that they are square. They are 7.4 cm wide already. 11 of these are for the accordion and a minimum of two for inside of each envelope, possibly one for the front quote (depends on your choices)
For back cover quote
  • Choose a larger Memories and More card for the back quote and trim to 8.5cm

Co-ordinating DSP

2 small Envelopes
  • cut 1 sheet to 5 ¼ inches square and the other x 5 ⅛" square. One is for the inside pop up envelope the other is to be placed on the accordion.
*Find the half way point on one edge to start the scoring and punching process with the punch board for making of the envelopes.
*Keep off cuts to use as the side covers for outside and inside if you like the pattern you chose. This may save you another sheet of DSP

Front and inside covers
  • You will need 3 sheets trimmed to 8.5cm square.
Side Covers outside and inside edges
  • 1 sheet of 6 x 6 DSP cut at 2.4 x 8.4, you should get enough to cover all sides inside and out  with an extra piece left over.
Front Frame
  • 2 sheets of contrasting colours cut 1 at 7.8cm square and the other at 8.3cm square.

White A4 Card Stock

Accordion pull out piece
  • cut two lengths from the A4 at 8 x 29.7 cm. Score these pieces at 8,16 and 24 cm respectively then burnish and fold.
Envelope pop up (front inside)
  • The  ½ A4 piece needs to be trimmed to 7.5 wide x 16cm long then scored at 8cm.

Coloured A4 Card Stock

Accordion contrast and small Memories and More card backings
  • Cut both of these sheets the full length at 7.7cm wide then trim each length to 7.7 cm so you end up with 12 7.7 cm squares. You will need 11 of them.

Ink Pads

  • Using a sponge ink the edges of all your trimmed DSP pieces (not cards or card stock)

Ribbon

Cut your ribbon into 3 lengths, 2 x 30cm and 1 at 15cm

Window Sheet

  • For frame cover, cut this at 8cm x 8cm square

Here is the video

Just a note that this video is roughly 19 minutes in length. The last couple of minutes has been distorted slightly by a glitch with my camera, this part is still watchable and fully understandable.
