I apologise for being absent for much of this last week.

We are all CASEing a project of Tanya's
What is CASEing? 'Copy And Selective Edit' is one version and another is 'Copy And Share Everything'.
When I CASE for hops like this I feel it is important to share a photo with a link back to the original post, so that everyone knows where the inspiration came from.
Sometimes the end result is nothing like the original other times it can be alot like the project chosen.
You are currently here with me, Kim Oliver.
I have a list of all other participants towards the end of this post, just click the name after mine to cintinue through the hop.
Here is what I have chosen to CASE from Tanya's work for this hop.
As you can see Tanya loves to sew around her work I don't havce a sewing machine for paper projects so that is something that I won't be doing.
I chose to use the layout from Tanya's cards as I loved the simplicity of it..
Here is my card
Happy Birthday Boquet
#KOCreationscards #Happybirthdaygorgeous #Imbringingbirthdaysback #Happybirthdayboquet #Floralbirthday #Cardmaking #Stampinup #rubberstamping |
My card base is Thick Whipser White.
I chose to create a water wash background on watercolor card stock using Daffodil Delight, Pumkpin Pie and Cajun Craze.
When this was dry, I then stamped the leaves and gum nuts using the 'Happy Birthday Gorgeous' stamp set in Pumpkin Pie, the flower was stamped using Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze. I also stamped the little party streamer in Cajun Craze alternately between the other images.
I stamped Happy Birthday also in Cajun Craze onto thick whisper white and cut it using the 3rd largest stitched circle. I placed this ontop of the vellum which was cut using sunflower shaped thinlit from the 'Eastern Medallion' thinlits set.
Adding 'To You' in the bottom right corner finished the card front nicely.
Don't you agree?

This card for me is like a ray of dried flowers laid out among the sunshine.
The colours I have chosen are warm and happy and it makes me smile just looking at it.

ReplyDeleteThank you Paula x
DeleteKim, this card is lovely! The colors blend in a soft and delicate way that adds to the autumn and feminine feel of this card. (and I use the same sewing machine I use for fabric to sew on my cards- it hasn't dulled my needle, which was my only fear)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tanya :) and I will be using my sewing machine for paper soon then, as that was my fear also! lol
DeleteOh I love how the flowers are all springing out! xx
