Stampin Sunday Blog Hop - Stitched All Around.

Hello everyone 😊
and

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop (Second Sunday) hosted by Sara Levin.

You are currently here with Kim Oliver - KO Creations Cards - Australia. I have a list of hop participants closer to the end of this post.

Today the Design Team are creating with the new suite 'Stitched All Around' bundle

This is also what I used to create with as part of this months 'Tutorial Bundle' available further down this post.

I have created 3 different card projects today.

Here are my projects.

Enjoy Your Special Day

I created my own DSP for this card by repeat stamping the rose from 'Healing Hugs' stamp set. The gorgeous focal rose has been stamped 3 times then fussy cut along the petal layer lines then layered together using dimensionals. I felt that doing this added even more depth and life to an already gorgeous image.
The sentiment and label are from the 'Stitched All Around' bundle.

For my next project I decided I would create a card just using nothing but the Stitched All Around bundle itself.
It was quite a challenge, as for me the 'Stitched All Around' bundle is one that I naturally would use as an accessory set. Just like I used for the first card above.

Here it is.

Oh Darling You Are Fabulous

I used a technique for this card called repeat stamping, but I added some more interest by using another technique called 'Shadowing'. This gave the sentiment some Oomph. I layered a few of the stitched labels together to create a focal area and tied it all together with some 'Blackberry Bliss' twine. This colour works with the Rich Razzleberry cardstock as I inked the cardstock in 'Rich Razzleberry' for the sentiment shadow, which made it look very Blackberry Bliss like.

Here is the colour combo for the layers on card above .

For my final card I needed to use up some of the DSP I had left over from my first, so I fussy cut out a rose and leaves from what I had left and used another part of the 'Stitched All Around' bundle, the straight faux stitching lines. I cut the Whisper White card stock on an angle before adding the cross stitch edge. I glued this over a piece of  'Natures Poem' DSP that had complimenting colours to my rose image. The 'Lovely' sentiment has been stamped in Grapefruit Grove.

Lovely

Here is the colour combo I used for my above card plus my very first card today.
I am loving using unusual colours together atm.
Makes me think outside my comfort zone.

  1. One at a time, in a colorful stack, layered up -- every way you've used them is great. My two favorite details are your fabulous shadow stamping and turning the embossed detail die into a lacy layer.
