Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sarah Berry

Hello everyone and welcome to another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop.
Todays special guest is Sarah Berry  of Stamp With Sarah.

I have admired Sarah and her work almost  from the time I first became a demo.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking a tour once again through her blog as it is something I haven't done for a couple of months now.

I have chosen to focus on colour today as my inspiration as all of Sarah's works are so colourful and happy. As I am from the country I have also chosen to use the Country Lane suite.

Here are my chosen colours

Here is my project.

This is a suite I have totally fallen in love with. The colours are just so earthy and rich.

The chicken wire (background accent) comes silver, but using the shimmer paints and or inks you can make them any colour you like!. I have grunged mine up by rubbing black stazon ink over the top.

The Tin Tile Embossing TIEF (the folder embossed Blackberry Bliss card stock) looks totally amazing no-matter which way you use it! Use it as a whole background, cut it up, make it into strips, paint it, ink it....anything you do to it only enhances the gorgeous design that is embossed into the card stock. For my project, I punched out a square using the Darling Label punch, then cut that in half. I rubbed some black stazon ink gently over the surface of the rectangular strip to give added depth.

The Designer Series Paper for this suite is soooo yummy.
The DSP I have chosen reminds me of 1.Cable knitting or 2.Wheat.
I have distressed the edges of the DSP I chose to use as my background today. I love the textural feel and added dimension that distressing gives to my projects

The stamp set is CHOC FULL of country charm, with it's cream can and jug that you can fill with two bunches of flora.
I chose to use the Cotton floral bunch in the enamel jug.

The enamel jug and flowers was coloured using Alcohol Markers with the jug having had a thin layer of 'Frost White Shimmer Paint' applied over the top.

The Galvanised clip that is holding the stitched circle into position is also part of the Country Lane suite and is very versatile. It has a solid side (showing) as well as a cut out side, this can be used to hang or tie other accents to.

All of the items I used today are available from the newly released Holiday Catalogue on page 42.
