WELCOME
Today we the 'Crazy Crafters' team are CASEing the lovely Sarah Berry.
You may have heard of her challenge Strawberry Sketches!?!
I chose Sarah's Voucher card & also one of her cards created for a sketch challenge.
Here are my chosen cards to CASE
I went for a Christmas theme for my first card & chose Night of Navy blended with Soft Sky. The card stock used is Night of Navy with Whisper White, layered on top of each other to frame my image. I used the Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper for the top of my star with Silver Foil underneath.
'Christmas Spirit'

Instead of a voucher I used this as a normal card. I stamped the inside with the star swirls from the Star of Light stamp set

My swirl wouldn't stamp correctly (missing the middle) & as it was too late to change my idea I adapted my images. I covered the missing piece with my star on the front & inside I stamped through the missing area then added a smaller star to keep my theme throughout my card.
How the following card came about was because I had leftover flourish pieces from my Razzleberry Flourish card made for previous challenge. When I was searching through Sarah's cards, I found her card above & thought that it would be a perfect way to use my left over bits.
So, here it is.
'HELLO'

I used the same colours as my Razzleberry Flourishes card as they were the colours of my left over pieces lol :-)

ReplyDeleteThank you Angela...the second floral card is the inside of the first :-) my bad for not mentioning that so sorry. I am a hoarder of all my left over bits and pieces lol so it is great to use them when I can.
DeleteHi Kim, both of your cards are gorgeous! I love the blue one with the different tones of blue spiraling around the star! I also love how you've created a carousel of products used at the bottom (how clever)! Would you share how you did this?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Louise.I have left a comment on the Blog Hop event page letting you know about the site x
DeleteOh my I LOVEEEEEEEE the christmas one. So super stunning. What did you use for the star on the front hun?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Tamie, I used the Star of Light Thinlits with silver foil for the solid star thinlit shape underneath and Diamond Glimmer paper with the intricate star thinlit for the front. Sorry my details are a bit light on tonight, was a bit rushed.
DeleteWow! Love the starburst on the first card & the colour combo is so bright & cheery on the second one! Also very exciting to see my badge on your page! Yay!! :P xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Jessie, the starburst was all trials and errors & is very luck to have survived to the end and become part of the hop lol. I am loving those bright colours too, so uplifting!
DeleteI wear your badge with pride Jessie xx
Gorgeous, just gorgeous. Both cards are CASed so well and then you totally made them your own.
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Card is STUNNING, the background is a WOW Factor for sure. The entire card had some work put into it, and it is a winner. I also love your second card as well. The fun colours and the negative/positive of the die cut I adore. Awesome work :)
Thank you Christine, I thoroughly enjoyed CASEing Sarah's cards....The Christmas Spirit card only ended up being a bit of work due to not knowing what exactly I was doing lol.
DeleteI love experimenting :-)
They are fun colours aren't they I totally agree. Thank you so much Christine for stopping by my blog and leaving your beautiful comment x
Both cards are great!I like the way you blended the colours. They look so nice and smooth.
ReplyDeleteThank you Vanessa, just learn't how to blend properly last week. So I am still enjoying the process & experimenting.
DeleteBoth cards are lovely but I particularly like the blue one! I'm so glad there was the mis-stamp to be covered up because the stars are just perfect and were clearly meant to be there!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Stephanie, Christmas Spirit certainly was one of those "mean't to be" cards :-)
DeleteKim I dont know where to start - both cards are gorgeous - I adore your Christmas theme - love the boldness of Night of Navy and the elegance it brings to the card - great case xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Leisa :-) I am going to give Christmas Spirit another go hopefully today....just to see if I can improve & master the masking technique for this style.
