Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Cindy Schuster

Welcome back to my blog :)

Today I am participating in a blog hop with Cindy Schuster
All those participating chose a project of Cindy's to CASE-Copy And Selectively Edit.
I absolutely loved going through Cindy's creations.
One of the reasons I really enjoy doing these hops is simply because, it means I am introduced to more talented creators on blogger!

Here is Cindy's card that I chose to CASE

So with out further ado
here is my card

For my CASE I chose to have a similar flower arrangement and also used a cut out flower                                                                                        design.

'It's A Good Day'

The card stock used for this card was Thick Whisper White for the base, toppers - inside and front. For the layers - Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Peekaboo Peach.
The inks used for the flowers were Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Crushed Curry. I also used Versamark embossing ink.
The stamp and die sets used were Flourishing Phrases stamps and die, Best Birds (sentiment) and Gorgeous Grunge (Background)
Other tools used were Gold embossing powder for the background, Metallic Sequins, Heat Tool, Big Shot. Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tear and Tape and Metallic Thread in black.
Oh did you pick up Classy Designer Button!?! I painted it black and then covered it in glue for a shiny effect.

The colours I used for the flowers were - Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Crushed Curry. I blended all of these colour onto whisper white and then cut the flowers out using the Flourish thinlits die set.
For the large flower base I stamped the image in the same colours using the ink and wipe method for the ombre effect. I fussy cut around this just to give the main flower that added lift.
For the inside I stamped the flower again using the ink and wipe method, straight on to the card stock. I then stamped it twice more either side of the main flower without re-inking, this added the illusion of depth.
