For my projects today I went with a more masculine feel...I was actually planning to enter them into the International Blog Highlights but that theme is "Get Well Soon"
As you can see, the card projects don't quite fit the theme!

I read it and I read it properly too I might add lol...thought oh yeah I can do that...then made my cards with out even thinking of the theme...Not even once!!!!! Typical, just had an idea and ran with it Oh well lol...
I then went perusing through Global Designs Projects to see who had been chosen last week as Guest Designer...
And found a sketch challenge for this week! #GDP074

Both of these cards was created using items from the Urban Underground Suite.
You may see slight differences with each card as I alternated the colours for the tag and banner for each card + I used different threads behind the sentiments. The one above has Very Vanilla bakers twine while the one below has Black Metallic thread.
Just for another little change I used differing embellishments for each focal area too.

My card base for both cards is Basic Black. The front layers being the Very Vanilla circles DSP .
The card directly above has the addition of silver foil as an extra layer which has then been adhered to the base using dimensionals
For the focal area I used the Tags and Labels Framelits die and layered my ephemera over the top.
All items from the Urban Underground Suite can be found on page 47 of the Occasions Catalogue.

Oh, great cards Kim! I particularly like the one with the pop of Dijon on it and how you flipped the sketch on both. I am totally loving everything Urban for our boys! Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us this week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paula :) It was a last minute addition hahaha and almost accidental! A piece of scrap from the fronts was facing upside down and I thought WOW that would help make this card pop a bit more :)..I am really enjoying all of the suites but this masculine one is super fantastic!
