Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Painted Harvest bundle

Welcome to  the Stamping Sunday blog hop, on the first Sunday of every month we all get together and showcase an item from the current catalogues. It could be a stamp set, a bundle or a whole suite

Today we are using the versatile Painted Harvest suite.
It is my faveourite set of the new catalogue atm!
Do you have a faveourite yet?

This set is currently available in a bundle. I love bundles, they are just so awesome, because you get to save 10% percent of the purchase price when you buy these items as a bundle!
Who doesn't love to save!

You are currently here with me Kim Oliver, I will have a full list of participants closer to the end of this post  for you to keep finding inspiartion from.

here is my project for today.

THANK YOU GIFT SET

I have chosen to create a Thank you gift set, comprising of a card and note pad.
I have never made or even thought of making a notepad cover until Paula Dobson showed me how easy it was at her Paper Caper in New Zealand. Such a simple thing and so effective too!

Using the painted Harvest bundle I stamped the flowers randomly in Dapper Denim on a piece of thick whisper white card stock to create a background.
This was trimmed and then covered in vellum.
I have a great tip for using vellum!
My card layers are Thick whisper white, Basic Gray and Whisper White for the front images then a vellum *overlay..

I used the Stitched Shapes framelits and the layering ovals to create the area  for the sentiment.
I fussy cut a stamped image and placed this in the bottom right corner of the card partially over the the oval also.

*My Tip

If you are reasonably proficient at using Fast Fuse or even Snail Adhesive use a small section/strip on the fast fuse in the corners of the vellum to attach it to the card stock below. It is barely visible!
Make sure that you have no balls of adhesive at the tip of your applicator, as these will be visible.

For the note pad itself I created a cover to go over the front, top and a small section of the back.
To do this I measured the size of the note pad and went from there.
I used a piece of thick Whisper White, Dapper Denim and a scrap piece of Basic Gray card stock to create my cover.
I stamped the images on the cover using the same inks as my card. For the note pad itself I only stamped the flower and only on every second sheet. This leaves a clean sheet of note paper for other purposes ๐Ÿ˜Š

This is going to be a gift for a friend who has helped me out alot over the last few months and I want them to know that I appreciate them and all they do.
