SDBH - Favourite DSP - Myths and Magic

Hello everyone and welcome once again to my blog 😊

I am participating today with the Stampin' Dreams blog hop team.

We are showcasing our favourite Designer Series Paper (DSP).
I am hard pressed to move past the Myths and Magic DSP.

I created last month a gift set for boys using the same DSP . I made this set so my son has cards available for his friends as their birthdays arise during the year.

Thinking along the same lines I decided it was only fair that my daughter has the same sort of thing on hand for her friends.

Here is my Project.

VERY Basic instructions

• I started by measuring the pieces I would need to cover my pizza box with, I made the covers 4mm smaller than the made up pizza box sides and top/bottom. 
• I then made my note cards 3"x 3"  (7.7cm x 7.7cm)  and a cover layer for them  1/8" (4mm) 
• The vellum layers are also 1/8" (4mm) smaller than the DSP card covers.
• I stuck my layers to the cards and the box using mutlipurpose liquid glue.
• I then stamped my required images on thick Whipser White. I coloured them using my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. 
• I also fussy cut from the DSP a small castle and 2 mermaids.
• Punch vellum leaves using the leaf punch.
• I added all my bits and pieces to the cards and the box to complete each design.

This stamp set comes as a bundle and is available right up until the 31st May 2018 along with the gorgeous DSP AND the Mini Pizza boxes.

I loved the idea of this design.
Origami, the angles and score lines that create this awesome folded card. AND it's interactive!
What more could a kid want 😍

Here is my project
I have created this for my daughter who will be turning 8 later in the year.
Nothing like being prepared 😉

Items Used

• Myths and Magic Designer Series Paper (retiring) cut at (4.8cm x 4.8cm = 1⅞" x 1⅞" squares) x 8 pieces 2 of each design.
• Magical Day bundle (retiring)
• A4 thick Whisper White, keep offcuts for stamping unicorn and sentiment.
• A4 Lemon Lime Twist card stock. (Cut at 4.8cm x 4.8cm = 1⅞" x 1⅞" squares) x 6 pieces
• Stampin' Blends
• Stampin' Trimmer
• Multipurpose liquid glue
• Glimmer paper(retiring)
• rhinestone basic jewels

Twist and Fold Base Instructions

1. Cut A4 to 20cm x 20cm square or (8" x 8") Score at 5cm (2") on every side. Score at the 10cm (4") mark to the score line on all for sides. Mark the score line where it touches the inside square. Score from point to point to create a diamond shape 
2. Turn over the card stock so that score lines facing you are mountain formation. Fold on 5cm (2") score line  toward the centre (away from you) on each 5cm around the outside.
3. Turn over and fold the 10cm short score (4") line towards you and burnish.
4. Gently fold the diamond shape score lines toward you one at a time and burnish.
5. Gather each corner, one at a time and gently fold it to the left encouraging it to fold shut.(you will need both hands)
6. Turn over and score the base.
7. Open and add DSP and other decorations.

Basic Decorating Instructions

• Cut 8 pieces of DSP at 4.8cm x 4.8cm (1⅞" x 1⅞")
• Cut 6 pieces of coloured card stock at 4.8cm x 4.8ccm (1⅞" x 1⅞"). Cut two of these squares into triangles by cutting from one corner to the opposite corner. This will give you 4 triangles.
• Adhere into position
• *Stamp and cut images and place in centre diamond. 

*When layering central images try not to add much dimension as it stop the fold from sitting correctly.
