ESAD 2017 Last Chance Sale-A-Bration Blog Hop

Hi and Welcome.

I am taking part in my very first ESAD blog hop,
so I am more than a little excited :)

We are all showcasing the Occasions + Sale-A-Bration Catty's and the products that are available to you.

During Sale-A-Bration for every $90.00 you spend (not including postage)  you get to choose 1 FREE item. Sale-A-Bration offer ends 31st March

THAT'S LESS THAN 1 MONTH LEFT FOR THIS OFFER!!!
Only 26 Day to be precise...
So BE QUICK!!!!

I have chosen to showcase 3 items today.

I used for my project the Window Box Thinlits Dies, the Free Glimmer Paper and the Free Avant Garden stamp set.

The Window Box Framelits are from the Occasions catalogue page 43, Avant Garden is from the 1st release of the Sale-A-Bration catty on page 5 and the Glimmer Paper is from the Second release catty, in  the centre fold of catty. Whit Whoo ;)

Here is my project.

I named it lol ..... it's one of my quirks :)

 Glimmer Me Happy

I used the 3 colours that the Glimmer Paper is available in to create this design with.
Those colours are
  • Mint Macaron
  • Bermuda Bay
  • Sweet Sugarplum
  • My card base is Whisper White as is the front and sentiment.
I stamped the flower image first in sweet sugar plum...Stamping one flower then stamping again beside it without re-inking, this enables you to get a layered effect.
I turned the card and repeated the process until I had a nice little posy happening....
I stamped the solid leaf, in Bermuda Bay ink in pairs. Then the stamens and spots, which were also stamped in Bermuda Bay as well as the sentiment.
In between the pairs of solid leaves, I stamped the tiny leaves in Mint Macaron.

I loved the way this card finished.
I loved it so very much that I needed to have a little extra something to match it, for when I give this to my niece!!!

So, I made a hexagon box for a little birthday gift I have put away....
My niece is having a birthday soon and I have a small gift for her....I think it will fit perfectly inside this little box!

with
Window Birthday Box

I stamped the flower image from the card on every second panel around the box.
I used the square window dies to cut dots on the alternating panels to match the dots on the card. For the top of the box I used the pretty flower window die.
Each window has been backed with Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper.
The sentiment for the box has been stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.
I used the little banner maker from the Window Box thinlits set to help create the banner ends and folds on both the card and the box. WOW this little tool makes a 3D banner so much easier!
I love how it sits up so neatly :)

Inside View

For those that visit my blog regularly you will already know this!
So, this is for the new visitors here today.
I always carry my theme from the front of my cards onto the inside...It's another little quirk I have.
It adds an extra special touch for the recipient, lets them know you went that extra mile (so to speak)
My opinion only of course :)

As I am part of a blog hop please click the link below to keep moving through the blog...Kelly Kent is the next blogger to be showcasing the Occasions Catty and the Sale-A-Bration items.

Here are a list of particpiants to enable you to jump back and forth through the hop :)

You're Cool, Sweet - #GDP076

Welcome back crafters :)

It's officially the end of summer here in Australia.
#Cooltreats #Summertimefun #Funinthesun #Handmadecards #KOCreationscards #Australianmade #Youresweet #Yourecool #Happybirthday

Today's blog is all about Summer and the Cool Treats bundle and embellishments set.

I have based my 4 projects around this weeks creative challenge from Global Designs Project #GDP076 CASE the designer...Kylie Bertucci

CASE means Copy And Selective Edit.

And here they are.

You're Cool, You're Sweet

I absolutely love this set...It's fun and a great set for kids and adults alike.
My designs have only just skimmed the surface of what you can create using this fabulously funky set.
I have taken pictures of each card separately with a shot of the inside beside it.

You're Cool

For this set I started with an A4 sheet of Whisper white cut in half length ways.
I stamped all over the 2 half sheets with the icy poles and ice cream images making sure I left enough room for the poles and cones.
The ink colours used were Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder with Crumb Cake for the poles and cones.
As the stamps are two step stamps each image has been stamped using the same colour. By using the same colour, the second stamp adds depth to the image.

You're Sweet

The card stock base for each card is Peekaboo Peach with the trim either being Bermuda Bay or Pool Party
I tried out the sprinkles embellishments for first two of my cards above. I looked at them for nearly 5 minutes as I was not sure which was the best way to apply them!! I ended up using my multipurpose glue (Tombow) It worked, but it didn't give the desired effect I was looking for.
So, I think I will try the Heat and Stick powder in the future and see if that helps.
I added Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine to 3 of my cards and Peekeboo Peach ruched ribbon to one.

You're Sweet and Cool

For the second set I decided to add some words into the mix of cones and Popsicles, but this time I used the sprinkles stamp and added colour with my Stampin' Write Markers, making sure to match the colours with the inks.
I made each of these last 2 different by adding differing sentiment styles. Above I used the banner/ribbon design and below I used both a tab and a framelit to convey my messages.

Happiest Birthday

For my very last project I though a Birthday Card would be fun.
And to make it a little different I added a pullout tag to the side.
It does sit in quite nicely behind the focal strip..Don't you think!?!
For 3 of my cards I used the Layering circles framelits and another definite fave the Stitched shapes framelits...I find this framelit set so very versatile and it helps to give my projects an extra something without creating too much extra work.
