Hello and welcome to Kylie's Go For Greece training group blog hop.
The groups name says it all, we are all part of a FB group with the aim of trying to reach the Stampin' Up! incentive trip. We help and support other through each step and cheer those that make the trip along.
My project today has been created from a bundle that is only available during the month of August.
It's a Limited Edition bundle called 'Blended Seasons'
I have created Christmas cards, Wedding cards, Window cards and now a card created for a friend using the leaves stamp.
Here is my project for today's hop.

I created this card at a demonstrator friends place only last weekend. I actually made a mistake while I was stamping with the Bright Bronze shimmer paint. I moved the paper with my fingers, so my shimmer painttt and my leaves do not line up 😑 I do silly things like that ALLLLLL the time haha.
But, I decided I was going to use it anyway!
I used the splatter from the 'Swirly Bird' stamp set and added Bright Copper Shimmer Paint to a sponge Dauber. I daubed the copper onto the splatter stamp and created my background.
I glued this onto my Whisper White card base
I mounted the die cut label on Dimensionals and glued the other leaves into position.
I stamped another two sets of leaves and coloured them using my Stampin' Blends and fussy cut them out. I then die cut 2 leaves in copper and popped them over the top of the largest leaves slightly offset. I masked one of the sentiments as all I wanted was the word 'Friend' and inked it in Old Olive.
I have to say I am really impressed with how my mistake turned out. What do you think?

This card uses a couple of simple techniques such as masking, colouring and fussy cutting. These and so many more techniques are part of my monthly classes and down line meetings/crafting sessions.
For me, holding classes gives me regular contact with my customers. It also makes me think outside the box so I can keep new people arriving and learning the joys of stamping.
Teaching techniques and watching others create projects from scratch is something I live for. Seeing the look on their faces when they realise that they, THEY are doing it...gets me every time.
The monthly team meetings also gives me a chance to keep my team members up to date with whats happening and offer help or advice if required.
Ok enough about me and what I love. I am sure you are searching for the hop list so you can keep moving through.

ReplyDeleteHello,Kim, yeah blogging along together again. How creative are you, you are a genius, your card has that old fashioned 3D look to it, just like those colouring books we had when we were kids that we had to water colour with together the image come alive, it sure makes gives it an artistic touch. The shimmer paint gives the card an extra element, seeing your card, I feel there will be many more cards from now on with this paint.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those leaves almost look like they are moving. I love the background you have created with the platter.
ReplyDeleteI love the 'offset' leaves Kim. Looks great! :-)
