International Blog Highlights - Gratitude inspired by Thailand

Image may contain: text

Welcome back 😊
I am today taking part in the International Highlights.
This is a photo gallery style hop that is hosted by Kylie Bertucci.
Demonstrators from all over the world are being highlighted on this blog!
You can vote for the projects that you like just by hovering over the top right corner of the photograph then clicking the heart that appears.

Yesterday I posted a LIVE video on my FB business page as a little tutorial for the
'Whole Lot Of Lovely Gift' set
This was first created by me in the Black and gold colours. I recreated them in White and Pool Party during the video and I thought I would share them here for the International Highlights - Gratitude inspired by Thailand.

In nearly every picture I have seen about Thailand there are always a lot of flowers. Everything is crisp and fresh and so bright. (No I have never actually been)
So I thought my gift set would be appropriate for this Gratitude isnpired by Thailand theme 😊

Here are my projects.
I do love this DSP!

Whole Lot Of Lovely

What do you think?
Can you see why I fell in love with this DSP?  It is just so striking!
And this is only one of the gorgeous sheets in the pack!

From the Fabulous Foil Designer acetate sheets I chose the Dragon Scale sheet for both of my projects. These sheets come in 12" x 12" and I have to say are just gorgeous!

For my Card.

  • My card base and front were created using Whisper White card stock. The base is an A4 piece folded in half then cut at 10.5 cm.
  • The Silver Foil sheet has been cut 4mm smaller on both top and bottom edges.
  • The black card front has been cut another 4mm smaller along the top and bottom edges then glued to the gold foil sheet.
  • I die cut the acetate using the layering squares framelits the largest straight edge square was used.
  • I thought that the silver foil sheets would add a touch more richness to my design so, I added the scalloped frame around the outside of the fab foil acetate window as well. This was created using the largest scalloped edge square and the second largest straight edge square.
  • I fussy cut the flowers from the floral White and Pool Party sheet and mounted them on mini dimensionals. The touch of Pool Party and Crushed Curry really aids in making this card pop.
  • My sentiments are from the Graceful Garden stamp set, I just love the font used for them!
  • To bring the Pool Party Colour out even more I stamped the sentiments into Pool Party ink and then onto my card front.
  • For the inside of my card I used Thick Whipser white over Silver Foil. I added a small strip of DSP to the right edge. This helped to continue the colour and floral theme to the inside and gave a lovely clean area for writing..

I have no voice overs or other edits, mistakes and all are here to see lol.

Wedding Bells and Stitched Shapes Framelits

Welcome Back

Over the last weekend I was lucky enough to participate in yearly 2 day local market event. I  met some lovely new people and gained some new contacts and customers too. I had a few requests for wedding cards with a natural and also classy feel.

I thought I would enter this card into this weeks Global Design Challenge as the layout fits the one they have.

I chose to use the new *Stitched Shape Framelits* (note at end of blog) for this card to create the background heart behind the Bloomin' Hearts detailed die.
If you look closely you can see that I have layered 2 circles and a square to create the heart shape.

"WEDDING BELLS"

You can see that I chose to emboss my bells in gold.
I also embossed the sentiment too, but first I stamped it in Stazon Black and then roughly sanded the surface to give a tarnished look. I also did that for the inside floral heart design.
The colors of Vanilla, Black, Crumb Cake and Gold combine so well together for that natural yet classy effect that was requested.

 "INSIDE VIEW"

I added a Natural Trim (GOLD) piece of ribbon to the bells on the front and around the back of the card, just to add that little extra detail. I could then also add  names or a date to a tag to sit inside, just to personalize this card even more.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today.

FROM STAMPIN' UP! regarding Stitched Shapes Framelits
**We are happy that the Stitched Shapes Framelits have been so well received. And while we thought we had sufficient inventory to last through end of the year, you surprised us by selling it all in about two weeks! From the beginning of the promotion, we could see that sales were exceeding our forecasts, and we immediately sent in a second shipping order. Since then, sales have continued to increase.
Because of the extreme demand, the Stitched Shapes Framelits (item 145372) will go into backorder very soon, and will be placed on non-orderable status on 22 November 2016, at 4:00 AM (AET). Additionally, when you enter this product’s item number in OEX on a customer, workshop or demonstrator order, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via email when this product is back in stock. This allows you to find out immediately when the item’s status changes and it is again available for purchase.*

So if you love this product make sure you get the notification when shopping with me by clicking yes you would like a notification!

In the absence of the Stitched Shapes you can still get %25 off selected stamp sets for the month of November.
