International Blog Highlights - Gratitude inspired by Thailand

Yesterday I posted a LIVE video on my FB business page as a little tutorial for the

 'Whole Lot Of Lovely Gift' set

This was first created by me in the Black and gold colours. I recreated them in White and Pool Party during the video and I thought I would share them here for the International Highlights - Gratitude inspired by Thailand.

In nearly every picture I have seen about Thailand there are always a lot of flowers. Everything is crisp and fresh and so bright. (No I have never actually been)

So I thought my gift set would be appropriate for this Gratitude isnpired by Thailand theme 😊

From the Fabulous Foil Designer acetate sheets I chose the Dragon Scale sheet for both of my projects. These sheets come in 12" x 12" and I have to say are just gorgeous!

For my Card.

• My card base and front were created using Whisper White card stock. The base is an A4 piece folded in half then cut at 10.5 cm.
• The Silver Foil sheet has been cut 4mm smaller on both top and bottom edges. 
• The black card front has been cut another 4mm smaller along the top and bottom edges then glued to the gold foil sheet.
• I die cut the acetate using the layering squares framelits the largest straight edge square was used. 
• I thought that the silver foil sheets would add a touch more richness to my design so, I added the scalloped frame around the outside of the fab foil acetate window as well. This was created using the largest scalloped edge square and the second largest straight edge square.
• I fussy cut the flowers from the floral White and Pool Party sheet and mounted them on mini dimensionals. The touch of Pool Party and Crushed Curry really aids in making this card pop.
• My sentiments are from the Graceful Garden stamp set, I just love the font used for them!
• To bring the Pool Party Colour out even more I stamped the sentiments into Pool Party ink and then onto my card front.
• For the inside of my card I used Thick Whipser white over Silver Foil. I added a small strip of DSP to the right edge. This helped to continue the colour and floral theme to the inside and gave a lovely clean area for writing..

You Move Me - My Heart Flutters card with tutorial.

Welcome back once again 😊

Today I am sharing with you some cards made while I was trying to get a tutorial created.  The My Heart Flutters card was such a hit and I did have a few requests for a tutorial.

I ended up doing a live video  as the youtube version was taking far too long to actually upload. I would have had to do a voice over too as my children were in the background arguing rather loudly hehehe

Now as promised I did create a 'How To' video but it was done LIVE then uploaded to youtube. As it was filmed LIVE you will hear me chatting to people who pop in to take a look. I also keep saying gold foil 😅but it is actually silver foil. The joys of LIVE hehehe.

Stamping Sunday Bog Hop - Fabulous Foil

I feel very lucky to be part of this wonderful group 😊 You are currently here with me Kim Oliver of Australia.
Today we are sharing some inspirational projects using the gorgeous Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate 
I chose to pair my Fabulous Foil with the 'Whole Lot Of Lovely' DSP.
When I saw this gorgeous DSP I just fell in love with it and ordered it with my very first order!
But me being me I got caught up doing other things hahaha.
There are so just many gorgeous products in this new catalogue I got sidetracked, I was playing with daisies for just a little while. lol
 So, this is the first chance I have actually had to play and create with this delicious DSP!

I have to say I was impressed with how my projects finished.
I hope you like them too!

• My sentiments are from the Graceful Garden stamp set, I just love the font used for them!
• To bring the Pool Party Colour out even more I added craft white re-inker to a few drops of Pool Party re-inker on a clear block. I mixed and spread this with a Palette knife. I then stamped the sentiments into the mixture and then onto my card front.
• For the inside of my card I used Thick Whipser white over Gold Foil. I added a small strip of DSP to the right edge. This helped to continue the colour and floral theme to the inside and gave a lovely clean area for writing..

Too floral for a man? 

Perhaps I can give them to my hubby, to give to me! Hahahaha...one way of making sure I avctually get an anniversary present this year!

For the Window Box

• I cut the box out with the window box thinlits in basic black.
• When I did this, I used the hexagonal floral cut out at the same time for the lid. 
• I then traced around the outside of the hexagonal floral cut out using my paper piercing tool on gold foil and cut it out with paper snips.
• I cut out three windows from the basic black window box base using the layering squares.
• I glued my window box together using a mixture of Tombow and Fast Fuse along the tabs.
• I glued my gold foil hexagon to the inside of the lid.
• I cut three Fabulous Foil windows to fit and glued them in place.
• I then cut three Gold Foil scalloped frames and glued them over the top.
• Once again usning the layering squares I cut three pieces of the DSP and three black frames to pop over the top to help finish the edges and give them a clean crisp look.
• To finish this ittle box and make it match the card even more I fussy cut another boquet and added loops of gold thread underneath. 
• I then positioned this on top of the box and held it all in place with dimensionals.

Today I get to craft just for me ...Oh it feels good too lol.

I found a few things in the catalogue that I fell in love with as soon as I saw them and purchased athose items as soon as I was allowed. 

This is the first time I have had to actually play with them!

The items that I fell in love with are the 'You Move Me' bundle and the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.

I am entering this card into the Global Design Project challenge this week. 

The challenge for this week is a sketch #GDP094

What a gorgeous pairing these two turned out to be!

My card base is basic black with a layer of gold foil under the sheet of trimmed DSP.

I used the Sweet and Sassy framelits to create the hearts frame over the top of the slotted air con style slots. 

I cut a matching heart into the DSP using the framleits, glueing the slots with the heart frame from underneath.
Trimming any excess slots away from the edges.

I then added the gold foil layer.
I trimmed this so that it has only a 2mm edge showing around the DSP.

I added two fussy cut flowers along with two sassy die cut hearts, one in black and one in gold.
My sentiment is from the 'You Move Me' stamp set and has been stamped in craft ink mixed with  Island Indigo to give a hint of blue.

The gorgeous little fluttering hummingbird was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Peekaboo Peach on whisper white.
I did try black card stock, but the colours just wouldn't stand out enough.

I have added a little video to show how it looks with the flutttering action using the pull tab

Have you ever heard the saying ...'My heart flutters like a caged bird!'...it can be used to express feelings of love.
I am trying to get that quote/sayong across with my card. 'My heart flutters like a caged bird'.
Sometimes I see things when creating that doesn't translate, but I think this really does come across once you pull the tab and see the action.
