Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Cindy Schuster

Welcome back to my blog :)

Today I am participating in a blog hop with Cindy Schuster
All those participating chose a project of Cindy's to CASE-Copy And Selectively Edit.
I absolutely loved going through Cindy's creations.
One of the reasons I really enjoy doing these hops is simply because, it means I am introduced to more talented creators on blogger!

Here is Cindy's card that I chose to CASE

So with out further ado
here is my card

For my CASE I chose to have a similar flower arrangement and also used a cut out flower                                                                                        design.

'It's A Good Day'

The card stock used for this card was Thick Whisper White for the base, toppers - inside and front. For the layers - Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Peekaboo Peach.
The inks used for the flowers were Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Crushed Curry. I also used Versamark embossing ink.
The stamp and die sets used were Flourishing Phrases stamps and die, Best Birds (sentiment) and Gorgeous Grunge (Background)
Other tools used were Gold embossing powder for the background, Metallic Sequins, Heat Tool, Big Shot. Glue Dots, Dimensionals, Tear and Tape and Metallic Thread in black.
Oh did you pick up Classy Designer Button!?! I painted it black and then covered it in glue for a shiny effect.

The colours I used for the flowers were - Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach and Crushed Curry. I blended all of these colour onto whisper white and then cut the flowers out using the Flourish thinlits die set.
For the large flower base I stamped the image in the same colours using the ink and wipe method for the ombre effect. I fussy cut around this just to give the main flower that added lift.
For the inside I stamped the flower again using the ink and wipe method, straight on to the card stock. I then stamped it twice more either side of the main flower without re-inking, this added the illusion of depth.

Welcome to our International Visual Blog Hop using current Stampin' Up!® Products. We have all created this gallery of projects for you to be inspired by! We would love it if you could visit every one of our blogs and see a close up of our projects. Our theme this month is LOVE because as card makers we love spreading the love. You can see the gallery below and this will be on every blog that you click on so you will never be lost.

Unfortunately I didn't see the brief about our theme today which is 'Love' so my cards are more for the every day occasions.
But in saying that all cards are given with loads love, so I am still following the theme, lol

These will also become part of the Crazy Crafters weekly highlights hosted by Kylie Betucci Please click here to vote!

For these two cards, I used a piece of Thick Whisper White cards stock, folded in half and cut at 10.5 cm . This created 2 card bases. I then cut 4 pieces of Basic Black for the front and inside layers.  I just eyeballed them to get the measurements :)

I then cut to fit 2 pieces of white cards stock for the front. I blended 5 different colours starting with Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz between some of the bare areas.
For the flower images I used 'Wild About Flowers' set, stamping the stems in Pear Pizzazz and for the flowers Watermelon Wonder.
I cut out the group of dragonfly's from the new set called Dragonfly Dreams (which will be available January 4th 2017) I cut them from the blended and stamped paper, then cut 3 more layers of those in black. Gluing all the layers together so they would be raised up + have a black edge when put back.
Under the front of one card I used a sheet of the Fabulous Foils Designer Acetate, dots - silver side facing up.
For the other card I used silver foil sheet. Both cut to be a fraction smaller than the front.
I also used the large image of a dragonfly on both cards, one was stamped before the group was put in place, the other was stamped and die cut then positioned after the group of dragonfly's  was placed.

Thanks for visiting my blog today, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. We know that you will love our gallery of projects made from Stampin' Up!® Demonstrators around the world!
