Sketch Challenge
Hello and welcome once again to my blog. I am still loving the inspiration from the challenges and this weeks challenge is the above sketch from Ginger Toivonen.
For my card, I am sharing a sneak peek of one sheet from some new DSP's called Affectionately Yours.

How I made Affectionately Yours:
- I cut my Sahara Sand A4 card stock to 11cm x 15.5cm side fold. Then cut my Gold Foil sheet 2mm smaller then the Night of Navy 2 mm smaller again. I cut a small piece on the DSP to 6cm x 8cm and a piece of Night of Navy to 6.5cm x 6.5cm. To enhance these pieces I decide on the gold foil & cut these sheets to be 2 mm larger for both pieces.
- Using the Sweetheart punch on the navy cardstock...I created a window effect for the gold foil. I lifted this by using the Stampin' Dimensionals.
- I coated the Expression dimensional with Versa Mark embossing ink the dusted with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. For a good finish you must heat up you heating tool before applying it in the direction of the powder.
- After placing my centre pieces in the Sketch arrangement, I glued the sentiment in place using my Multi Purpose glue.
- With Sahara Sand I punched 1 large flower with the Fun Flower punch and 3 smaller ones with the Petite Petals punch. I grabbed my Botanical Builder Framelits and cut 1 with Sahara Sand and then 1 in Gold Foil to bring the Gold color to the front..
- I applied Night of Navy ink around the edges of each flower. Using an Antique brad that blended with the gold tones I put my larger flower together. Twisting the Gold foil petals one under the other on every second petal.
- I adhered the flowers using Dimensionals, then thought they needed a little more Ooomph. So, I reached straight away for my Metallic Sequins....adding a gold sequin the the centre of the small flowers and a few to the cut & layered DSP.
